A report in the Arab media Thursday said that Hamas had set its “red lines” in negotiating for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. The report did not state what those red lines were, but in the past Hamas has stated that it would not release Shalit unless Israel released about 1,000 terrorists from prison, many of them responsible for mass murders of Israelis.

The report said that top Hamas terrorist Ahmad Al-jabbari had been in Cairo for the last three days conferring with Egyptian officials on the deal. He has now returned to Gaza. Another report said that Israeli delegation was now on its way to Cairo to discuss the deal.
