Haifa Court Rejects Appeal of Ban on Salah at Haifa U

The Haifa District Court rejected, on Monday, an appeal that would have allowed Sheikh Raed Salah to participate in an event at the University of Haifa. The school said, a few days ago, that it would not allow the participation of the Israel Islamic Movement leaders because of the violence that broke out the last time he visited the campus.

University President Aharon Ben-Ze'ev said, "I see great importance in the fact that of all days, today, Memorial Day for the fallen of Israel's security system and victims of terror, the court rejected the appeal and gave its backing to the decision of the university, determining that it was proportional and reasonable."
