Congress Members: PA Unity Gov't Endangers U.S. Aid

A group of Democratic and Republican members of Congress, who are currently visiting Israel, said on Thursday after a meeting with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv, that the establishment of a unity government between Fatah and Hamas will put into question the U.S. aid of hundreds of millions of dollars to the Palestinian Authority, Israel Radio reported.

According to the report, the Members of Congress warned that American money cannot flow into a government which includes representatives of an organization included in the U.S. list of terrorist organizations. They said that the Palestinian Authority has chosen an alliance with violence and extremism instead of the democratic values represented by Israel.
