Court: Nazareth Arabs Planned Terror Attacks

An indictment was handed down Sunday against three Arabs from Nazareth who planned terrorist attacks against Israeli Jews, IDF soldiers, and police. The three were unable to carry out their plans, and they were indicted on charges of conspiracy to carry out terrorist attacks and illegal possession of weapons.

The charges stem from activities the three undertook two years ago. The three, ages 18 and 19, planned to build pipe bombs and use them against Israelis. One of the gang used a school computer to look up information on building pipe bombs, while the two others bought equipment for the weapons. They started building the weapons, but abandoned the project and decided to buy weapons instead. They were caught after they tried to buy weapons from an arms merchant in Jenin, the indictment said.
