Qadaffi's Son: Dad Not Quitting

Commenting on a statement by U.S.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that Muammar Qadaffi should resign as leader of Libya, Qadaffi's son Sa'if al-Islam said in an interview with Arab media that the notion that his father would quit was “ridiculous.” He did admit, however, that the regime needed “new blood.”

Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that regardless of the results of negotiations between Libya and rebel groups that have been proposed, the main goal of the negotiations should be the resignation of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi transition to a democratic form of government.
