A number of prominent women demonstrated Friday afternoon for the release of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in the courtyard of the Cameri Theater in Tel Aviv. The demonstration was the second one organized by Mothers for Gilad in the month since the movement was founded.
Shalit's mother Aviva and his brother Yoel were joined by former Knesset member Yael Dayan, actress Gila Almagor, and Miki Goldwasser, whose son Ehud was one of two Israeli soldiers abducted and killed on the Lebanese border, about half a month after Gilad was taken captive in a raid that resulted in the killing of two Israeli soldiers near Gaza.
