In a press conference Wednesday, Hamas leader in Gaza, Isamil Haniyeh, claimed he would accept a PA state within the pre-1967 borders. However he stipulated he would do so only if Jerusalem were its capital, there was a full release of all PA terrorists, a large influx of Arab settlers claiming refugee status was allowed and the deal was accepted via a referendum in the PA.

The statement stands in contradiction of the official Hamas charter which demands a PA state replace all of Israel.
