Har Bracha Fire Follows Nearby Arab Olive Harvest

Secretary Yisrael Sa'adia of the Samarian Jewish community of Har Bracha filed a complaint Monday evening with the police after fire that broke out at the base of the hill on which the community was built. Sa'adia said that around 2:00 p.m. Arabs in the direction of the village of Burin finished the olive harvest and set two fires in the direction of Har Bracha. Firefighters prevented the blaze from reaching Har Bracha's houses.

Sa'adia said it was not the first time that Israeli leftists had led the Arabs, adding that they "inflame the Arabs and videotape the Arabs throwing stones and rocks and setting areas on fire." Samaria Regional Council chairman Gershon Mesika called for the leftists and inciting elements to be distanced from the region during the olive harvest, as has been done to area Jews in the past.
