Rock Attacks Around the Old City of Jerusalem

A tourist was lightly injured Sunday evening when hit by stones thrown by masked individuals at people walking in the Shiloach spring area of the Shiloach neighborhood of Jerusalem, also known by its Arabic name of Silwan, just outside the Old City Walls. Magen David Adom administered first aid before evacuating her to Hadassah Hospital on Mt. Scopus. At the same time, dozens of young Arabs threw rocks at Beit Meyuchas, one of the neighborhood's Jewish homes, until police dispersed them.

Israeli vehicles were also stoned at the intersection before the entrance to Shiloach and in the Ben Chinom valley near the Jerusalem Cinematheque. Those driving to the Western Wall from the Hevron road were advised not to go down from A-Tor because of the throwing of rocks at the intersection before the road goes up to the Western Wall Plaza.
