Reports on Sunday morning said that two ships were set to lift anchor from Lebanese ports in an attempt to enter the waters off Gaza. Israeli officials have reportedly sent diplomatic messages to Lebanon warning them to prevent the ships from sailing to Gaza.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Sunday that Israel had clarified to Lebanon that allowing the ships to sail would be “an unnecessary provocation, like previous flotillas, and we will consider the Lebanese government responsible.”
