The Israeli film "Ajami" did not win the Oscar for best foreign film at the Oscar ceremonies held Sunday night in Los Angeles. This makes it the third Israeli film in three years to lose out on the Oscar.

The film's co-director caused anger in Israel this week when he said the film did not represent Israel, even though it received public funding.
