Toronto police are questioning a York University student who called for the destruction of all Jews in the United States and Canada on his website. Salman Hossain, who calls his website “Filthy Jewish Terrorists,” calls Jews "diseased and filthy," "the scum of the earth," "psychotic" and "mass murderers" and writes that "a genocide should be perpetrated against the Jewish populations of North America and Europe.” In an email exchange with a reporter for the Canada National Post who exposed the site, Hossain says that he does not apologize for this remarks.
Jewish organizations called for an immediate investigation into Hossain. CEO of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Bernie Farber, said "It's pretty hard to believe that in the 20th century there is a blogger right here in Canada who calls for the genocide of the Jewish people. Can it get any worse than that?"
