Tel Aviv's municipal planning and construction committee may expropriate the yards of 40 homes on Keren Kayemet street in order to create roadside parking, widen sidewalks, and add bike paths.
If the plan goes through, some residents will be left with no yard at all.
They were not informed of the meeting, but say they will fight the measure. The township said the plan is for the community, and that the owners of the property need not be compensated.
