The Health Ministry instructed the Magen David Adom emergency medical service on Sunday night not to send patients to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer near Tel Aviv, Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon and Haemek Hospital in Afula because they are filled to capacity.

It was reported last week that Sheba hospital requested the move, saying the workload allowed it to give minimal care, at best.
