Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Monday that Israel will act in the coming days to deepen its relations with Italy. At a festive welcoming ceremony for visiting Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Netanyahu said Israel would sign a series of agreements in the fields of energy, environment, economic cooperation and health, among other things.

The prime minister called the existing friendship between the governments and people of the two countries important and said it was significant for the future, noting their contributions to Western culture.
