Seven percent fewer Israelis are planning to vacation in Turkey in 2010 compared to last year, a poll showed. The poll, which analyzed Israeli tourists' behavior and travel preferences, will be presented at a major international tourism conference to be held in Israel next month.
The poll shows that only 9% of Israelis said they would choose Turkey as a vacation destination in 2010, as compared to 16% who planned to do so at the beginning of 2009. Instead of Turkey, more Israelis are planning to go to Europe (10% more than last year), and the U.S. (4% more than last year). In addition, 12% more are planning to visit the Far East and Cyprus this year than last.
