The Alternative Poverty Report published Tuesday by the Latet (Hebrew for "to give") organization shows that the ring of poverty has expanded by 15 percent in 2009.
The report says that the number of people who considered committing suicide because of financial trouble rose by 20 percent. The rate of families who lost a member for lack of medical treatment rose from 10 percent to 14 percent.
