The Histadrut said it would take action against catering company Shefa over what Histasdrut legal adviser Shai Teken said was the company's refusal to allow workers to organize. In a letter to the company's staff, Teken said the union would sue the company and its individual officers over what he said was their refusal to allow workers to organize.

This is the first time the Histadrut has ever threatened officers of a corporatin with personal lawsuits over their alleged violations of labor law. The change is due to new laws that were instituted as part of the recent "package deal" between the union and the government.
