MK Uri Ariel (National Union), in a letter to IDF government policy coordinator in Judea and Samaria Eitan Dangott, said that the Defense Ministry has been drafting dozens of building supervisors to enforce the building freeze in Judea and Samaria – without permission of the Knesset Defense Budget Committee, of which he is a member. "The Defense Ministry has not received authorization to add workers, nor has it received the budget to hire workers," Ariel wrote, adding that the hiring, as such, was illegal.
"The government during the disengagement also ran roughshod over the law, all in order to destroy communities faster," Ariel wrote, adding that "our brothers, former residents of Gush Katif, are paying for this until today."
