The Central Bureau of Statistics said Thursday that there was a 9% increase in the demand for new homes in October, compared to the same month a year ago. The increase in demand was a sign that the economy was improving, experts said.
Two thousand four hundred ninety homes were sold in October, the CBS said, 1,350 to individuals or families planning to live in them, and 1,140 to investors seeking to either to hold or rent out the dwellings.
