One way to avoid the dilemma facing Israel now – releasing hundreds of terrorists in exchange for a kidnapped IDF soldier – can be avoided if there were no terrorists to release, said MK Nissim Zeev (Shas) in an interview with Arutz 7 Tuesday. Israel needs to implement the death penalty for terrorists who attack Israelis with the intent to kill them, he said.
"Terrorists who try to murder Israelis cannot remain alive," said Zeev. "They need to be killed during defensive actions against them. There is no need to capture them alive." The fact that there are 1,000 such terrorists alive today is what gave Hamas the impetus to kidnap Gilad Shalit, Zeev added.
