Easing of Restrictions Blamed for Binyamin Traffic Jams

Motorists in the Binyamin area were advised Thursday evening to drive on the Alon highway because of a large traffic jam between the Hizme checkpoint at the entrance to Jerusalem and the Adam-area Jewish communities.

Binyamin residents say the traffic jam is a result of the easing of traffic restrictions on Palestinian Authority Arabs and the increase of PA vehicles, indluding taxis - without providing infrastructure for the increased traffic.
