While beer companies usually use pretty women to sell their product, its different in Israel. The Carlsberg beer company has distributed a calendar along with the Shas newspaper Yom LeYom featuring pictures of former Sephardic Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the party's Spiritual Leader, along with a holiday message from him.
Carlsberg is under the kashrut supervision of the Badatz Beit Yosef organization, which is Rabbi Yosef's own kashrut supervisory body.
