Prime Minster Binyamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet Thursday evening with Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Yaalon in what is being called a “clarification” session on a recording of Yaalon's speech at a Manhigut Yehudit conference this week, in which Yaalon is seen calling Peace Now and the “elites” a “virus” that cause great damage to Israel.
Manhigut Yehudit leader Moshe Feiglin told Israel National News that Netanyahu, in his meeting with Yaalon, “wishes to make sure that the right-wing voices in his party get in line with those of Israel’s extreme left. This is a process that will result in Netanyahu sending bulldozers to tear down Beit El and Ofrah.
Feiglin said that the nationalist public must make sure that Yaalon receives support and does not “crumble.” “It is very very important for us to strengthen Yaalon and the other right-leaning ministers in the Likud,” Feiglin said, “because if Yaalon crumbles now and backtracks under the offensive of the left, the message to the entire Likud will be that you cannot go against the left."
