The Health Ministry confirmed Monday that a 34-year old man from Eilat died Sunday of complications from H1N1 flu. The man had suffered from pneumonia and was a heavy smoker.



More than 1,500 cases of H1N1 have been diagnosed in Israel thus far, according to ministry officials. They estimated, however, that there were likely more that had not been reported.
