State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss has "serious concerns" over the way the staff of the President's residence has been running things, according to a preliminary report on the matter. Lindenstrauss has been investigating the workings of the President's House as part of his regular review of governmental operations. Problems included waste in budget and staff management, the report says.

According to President's House staff, most of the issues raised in the report relate to the period when Moshe Katzav was president, and not to the current administration of Shimon Peres.
