Arabs opened fire on an Israeli force along the Gaza security fence, south of the Karni commercial crossing, in the Nahal-Oz area, southeast of Gaza City. The troops returned fire. No Israeli casualties or damage were reported.

The army says troops fired mortar shells in the direction of the fire but did not detect a hit. Gaza sources say a woman was killed and 11 others were wounded in the El-Burej and Johar Ad-Dayak areas.
