Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, along with other high-ranking government officials, attended an American Independence Day celebration at the Herzliyah home of U.S. Ambassador James Cunningham. At the Wednesday night celebration, Netanyahu expressed Israel’s close bond with the United States based on common values of freedom. "We have a close relationship with the United States, which President Obama defined in his speech in Cairo as unbreakable, and it is indeed unbreakable," the Prime Minister said.
Netanyahu also referred to the challenges that the world faces against Iran’s advancement of its nuclear program. "The dangers we face today are extremist regimes, which must not be allowed to obtain dangerous weapons. This must not happen," he said.
