The President of Tel Aviv University, Prof. Tzvi Galil, announced Tuesday that he is resigning from his post. The resignation comes at the end of a relatively short term in office that lasted two years.

Prof. Galil wrote a letter to the University directorate in which he explained that he wishes to go back to academic studies in his field of expertise – computer science.  The “administrative intenseness” of his current position made it difficult for him to pursue research, he added.
