Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Monday that relations between Israel and Iran could be possible under a different Persian regime. “There is no conflict between the Iranian and Israeli people and under a different regime, the peaceful relations that existed in the past could be reestablished,” he told the Germany Bild daily paper.

On Sunday, Netanyahu expressed support for the Iranian protesters' fight against the establishment who they claim rigged the recent elections. “I have no doubt everybody in the world is sympathetic to the Iranians’ desire for freedom,” he told NBC’s Meet the Press program.
