Voicing his support for the creation of a Palestinian Authority state will trigger a movement to topple Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government, MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) told The Sunday Telegraph. "We will try to topple him. We will work to recruit all those who are loyal to the Land of Israel. He cannot lie to his voters," said Eldad.
Some aides have indicated that Netanyahu will give his approval for a PA state in his speech at Bar-Ilan University this week. The speech follows United States President Barack Obama address to the Muslim world in Cairo in which he expressed his expectation that Israel would accept a PA state. Netanyahu met over the weekend with Israeli president Shimon Peres who was condemned last week by pro-Israel parties for calling for the establishment of a PA state.
