Jerusalem-based Ex Libris recently completed sales of its library automation system to 14 academic, national, and research libraries around the world. The deals are worth a reported $3 million. "The fact that all Ex Libris solutions are completely multilingual and enable a library to manage and provide access to diverse and complex collections weighed heavily in our decision,” said Elena Tîrziman, general director of the National Library of Romania who purchased a system.

Other purchasing institutions include the Aleph and Voyager integrated library systems (ILS), the Library of Congress in Peru, the National University of Costa Rica, Iowa State University, Japan's Keio University, Université de Nice in France, University of South Bohemia Ceske Budejovice in the Czech Republic, Reformed Episcopal Seminary in the U.S., and École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in France.
