Several Arab representatives left the hall at a World Health Organization conference in Geneva as the Israeli deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman began to speak. Litzman had left the conference earlier when the Iranian minister of health spoke.

The Palestinian Authority Health Minister used the conference as an opportunity to condemn Israel. Litzman pointed out in his speech that Israel provides a large amount of health care to Arabs in Judea and Samaria. He also called on Arab countries to invest in healthcare, and not in “technologies which do not save lives,” an apparent reference to Iran’s nuclear program.
