The Yesha Human Rights Organization has sent an urgent letter to senior ministers calling on them to save a Palestinian Authority Arab man condemned to death for selling land to Jews. The letter was sent to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman, and Minister of Internal Security Yitzchak Aharonovitch.

"The Land of Israel is the only place on earth where selling land to Jews is forbidden by law, and even worse – the penalty for breaking this anti-Semitic law is death,” the group wrote. “This situation is clearly intolerable.” The seller recently sentenced to death must be rescued, the group said.

The letter also accused the government of treating Arabs who have sold land to Jews as free agents, and blindly accepting their claims that Jews forged sale documents or invaded property illegally. “This, when it's obvious to anyone with eyes in his head that the Arab seller is making these claims with a gun pressed to his head,” the organization wrote.
