Temperatures will drop sharply on Sunday, and high winds will be accompanying a new winter storm that will begin with thunderstorms in the southern region in the afternoon and spread to the central and northern areas at night. Flash floods are possible as far south as Eilat.

The mercury will continue to fall on Monday, the Fast of Esther, and the rain may become heavier by night, when Purim begins. Light rain is probable on Purim, but Wednesday, when Purim is celebrated in Jerusalem, will be warmer under partly cloudy skies.
