The IAF hit more than 50 targets in Gaza on Tuesday, including approximately 25 weapons smuggling tunnels in southern Gaza. Planes also fired on eight rocket launch sites.
Sources in Gaza said Tuesday that the death toll in the Cast Lead operation had passed 970 after several people died of their wounds. IDF officers estimate that 680 of those killed were Hamas terrorists, and some of the rest worked with other terrorist groups.
