A U.S. plan to ship arms from Greece to an American stockpile in Israel has been canceled due to the war in Gaza, the Pentagon stated Monday.
The shipment from the Greek port of Astakos to the port city of Ashdod has been canceled due to safety considerations, according to Air Force Lt. Col. Patrick Ryder, a Pentagon spokesman. The Pentagon spokesman reiterates that the shipment was to be for U.S., and not Israeli stockpiles.
Hamas terrorists have fired Grad rockets from Gaza towards Ashdod since December 30.
