The Israeli Manufacturers Association estimated Monday that factories in the south have lost 80 million shekels because of Operation Cast Lead. The losses are mainly because workers have not showed up.
In addition the losses are only a partial estimation of the total losses to the factories. The figure does not include losses due to compensation the factories will have to pay out to workers or due to loss of market share.
