A special Knesset session dealing with the military operations in Gaza and the state of towns bordering Gaza began Monday morning.

In the deliberations, opposition head Binyamin Netanyahu called upon Prime Minister Olmert to immediately fire Science Minister Raleb Majadele.

Majadele, an Arab Knesset Member, refused to show up at Sunday’s Cabinet meeting in protest of the IDF’s operations in Gaza.
