Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen has told Dutch media that the Netherlands may boycott a United Nations conference on racism in Durban. Drafts of texts for the meeting include heavy criticism of Israel and the west and some go so far as to be anti-Semitic, he said.

In a previous UN conference on racism held in Durban, a resolution was drafted calling Zionism a form of racism, leading Israel and the United States to leave the meeting. Israel and Canada have already said they will not attend the second Durban event as they believe it will be plagued by the same problems as its predecessor.
