Kadima Calls on Olmert to Take a Break

The Kadima Knesset faction, in a special meeting convened Thursday afternoon, decided to adopt Chairwoman Tzipi Livni's suggestion, and call for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to take a vacation.

Livni told the meeting that "the event exceeds Olmert's situation – we're talking about public norms, the moral position of Kadima. Norms exist, and they are a basis for trust in the State institutions."

The Attorney General's Office has recommended that Olmert be indicted in the "Rishon Tours" affair, wherein he allegedly profited personally from a number of his airplane tickets to overseas.
