Fourteen-year-old Mercaz HaRav yeshiva student Naftali Sheetrit is recuperating from a complex 11-hour operation to rebuild body parts that were injured in the massacre at the institution in Jerusalem earlier this year. Eight others were killed by an eastern Jerusalem terrorist.

The Long Island Jewish Star reported that he is making good progress and that the operation on his urethra, rectum and stomach was successful. He was released from the hospital and then returned for post-operation check-ups. Sheetrit has been able to return to learning Torah one hour a day at a local yeshiva in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he is being treated.
