Likud Devalues Finance Ministry's Plan

The opposition Likud party Wednesday called the Finance Ministry's plan for dealing with the economic crisis "a small plan for a large crisis."

"The small steps that the Finance Ministry is suggesting do not offer a solution to the heart of the problem: there is no security net for pension savings and there are no real steps to prevent a rise in unemployment," the party said.

The Likud did concede that "there are a few suggestions in the right direction," but said that they were "too little and too late."
