Protest Thursday Outside IDF's 'Poison Radio'

Zionist protesters will gather outside the headquarters of Army Radio (Galei Tzahal) Thursday at 12:00 noon to protest the recent sacking of composer Dudu Elharar, who hosted a weekly program in which he voiced political opinions that were right of center. The demonstrators will call on the station to reinstate Elharar and to allow non-leftist opinions to be aired.

According to one of the organizers, Shlomo Shlush, some of the signs will bear the slogan "Galei Ra'al," a play on the station's Hebrew name which substitutes "ra'al" (poison) for "tzahal" (IDF). The station, he says, emits "a very heavy toxin."

Among the broadcasters whom the demonstrators single out as ultra-leftist are Tali Lipkin-Shahak, Razi Barkai, Yael Dan and talk program manager Ehud Graf.
