Antitrust Authority Slows Netvision–Hot Deal

(IsraelNN.com) Israel's Antitrust Authority Thursday afternoon informed NetVision that NetVision's plan to acquire a major stake in Hot Cable Systems Media would constitute an antitrust issue. NetVision is trying to buy out Bank Leumi's stake in Hot, Globes reported.

The Antitrust Authority's concern is that the acquisition and merger would reduce the number of companies in the telecommunications market. NetVision and Bank Leumi need to file for an exemption before the deal can proceed.
