Pensioners party head MK Yitzchak Galanti said Monday that if Kadima head Tzipi Livni chooses to reopen coalition agreements, his party will make new demands. “If the coalition keeps its current framework we won't object, but if the coalition agreement opens we'll need to insist on a few matters,” he said.
Galanti said he believes Livni is capable of creating a stable government, and said his party would meet with her to discuss its participation in the coalition in the near future. He rejected calls for new general elections, saying, “No party has presented an alternative to [Labor head Ehud] Barak or [Likud head Binyamin] Netanyahu. Why should we hold elections? To choose what we already have?”
