(IsraelNN.com) Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen Sunday put the commander of the police's southern district, Maj.-Gen. Uri Bar-Lev, on forced 30 day leave beginning immediately.
Bar-Lev refused an earlier offer to go on a one year long study leave.
Observers say personal hostility between Cohen and Bar-Lev is behind the recent developments.
