Profits at the Strauss Group Ltd. food conglomerate plunged in the second quarter of 2008 by 23.8 percent, to NIS 66.2 million, according to the Globes business news service. The figure included overseas sales.

The dairy products company, which also produces coffee and chocolate items, saw a one percent rise in domestic sales in Israel.
