New Low-Cost Food Chain Aims at Religious Jews, Arabs

The Super-Sol supermarket operation is launching a new low-price chain aimed at Hareidi religious Jews and Arabs. The chain will be called "Yesh" (Hebrew for "there is") and will replace the Aleph stores that it recently bought.

A 7 million shekel ($1.95 million) advertising campaign will feature the slogan "we have everything cheap." Forty-eight stores now are operating, and Super-Sol plans to open up another eight this year.
