Archeologists digging at the City of David site have uncovered a seal impression used by King Tzedekiah, who condemned the prophet Jeremiah 2,600 years ago for his predictions of the fall of Jerusalem because of lack of faith. The seal bore the name of Gedalyahu ben Pashur, one of the king's ministers, and it was found several feet away from a similar seal impression discovered three years ago and belonging to another of the king's ministers.

The City of David is situated across the road from the Dung Gate entrance to the Old City and has led archaeologists on a treasure hunt because of several major discoveries dating back to the era of the First Temple.
